"Combining Academic Success,

Traditional Values and

Individual Excellence"

The Senior School

Pupils study a broad balanced curriculum and where appropriate classes may be divided.

The school offers an excellent foundation for pupils which covers English, Religious Studies, Maths, Science, French, History, Geography, Music, Art, ICT, Drama, Home Economics, Physical Education and Personal, Social and Health Education. Girls usually move into the Senior School from the Lower School but new pupils join the school in Year 7. Outings and some overseas visits add greatly to the pupil's experience.

At Year 9, pupils choose some of the subjects they will study at GCSE. All pupils study English Language and Literature, Maths, Religious Studies, and Dual Award Science. They may choose between subjects such as History, Geography, French, Art, Music, Home Economics, ICT, Drama and Physical Education. Pupils may study up to 11 or 12 GCSEs but the important factor is that pupils achieve the best grades possible.

At the end of Year 11, pupils apply to go on to other schools or colleges for Sixth Form study. For example Norwich High School for Girls, Gresham’s, King’s College at Ely, Finborough School, in the independent sector. Popular choices in the state sector include Downham Market High School, King Edward’s School at Kings Lynn and Dereham Sixth Form College.
